Fellowes Piano Program

The Fellowes Piano Program, established in the year 2008 and funded by the Athenaeum Trust Fund of the Boston Public Library, facilitates gratis music lessons to children from Roxbury, Massachusetts and it’s neighboring communities. Dozens of children have had access to this quality music program intended to serve as an introduction to the piano. For the past 3 years the program has been hosted at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where Carlos Vargas is part of the faculty of music. For this work and his contributions to the educational scene in Boston, Carlos was the recipient of the Berklee Urban Service Award 2019.
